Native Californian Brian Ray's first solo album entitled 'Mondo Magneto' is one of my favorite albums of 2006!!!! Every song on Brian's new album released through his own label Whooray Records is a winner. 'Mondo Magneto' is filled with passionate, hard rocking pop tunes that drip with excitment and attitude. It's impossible to pick any favorites here because they're all that great, they all stand on their own rounding the album into a instant classic!
Brian is also a key member of Paul McCartney's current band playing guitar and is featured on Paul's great new DVD 'The Space Within US' among others. Brian's past also features a l4 year career as Etta James' Musical Director and guitarist. He also co-wrote Smokey Robinson's award-winning 1987 mega hit "One Heartbeat," along with scoring the award winning 2003 independent film 'The Failures,' just to name a few of his awesome credits. When asked "What took you so long?" he answered : "I guess I was just busy".
I highly recommend Brian Ray's 'Mondo Magneto' to all that need something "fresh" in today's mostly dismal music scene. If you are looking to rock your blues away this is the album for you.
This is a perfect 10 album in my opinion and a must for all who ROCK! BRAVO, BRAVO!
