CD/DVD Reviews
Review by Rikki Rampage
Surveillance, the newly signed band on Escape music, delivers top notch serious melodic AOR/Hard Rock, making their debut album 'Angelstation' (released June 23rd) one of the best releases so far this year! On lead vocals we have the marvelous and very talented Englishman Lee Smalon. Oh, Lee's not just another singer, no, no, no. If you rolled Glenn Hughes ( Deep Purple, etc,), Kelly Hansen (Hurricane, Foreigner) and FM/The Ladder's Steve Overland you would hear Lee Smalon who also sang on the highly successful Phenomena "Psycho Fantasy" CD released early 2006.
'Angelstation' is packed with great melodies and songs, the total package here.
If I started naming what songs are great I'd have to name them all. This debut is truly a dazzling, flawless masterpiece with great production included. This is a perfect 10 by all means, from the first song to the last.
I can hardly wait to hear their next CD already.
