Eating green strawberries. Mom reading lots of books to my siblings and I.

4. FIRST MUSICAL INFLUENCES?

The Beatles — I completely denied everything else until I was about 13...

5. FIRST MUSICAL INSTRUMENT AND WHAT DO YOU PLAY NOW?

I started with the piano when I was 7. I was okay, but discouraged that I couldn't move faster — tired of playing "Bone Sweet Bone" and finger exercises. I picked up the guitar at 10, and haven't set it down since... makes showering a bit difficult.

6. YOUR FAVORITE HOBBIES GROWING UP?

Drawing. Love drawing. Too bad I can't do it very well.

7. WORST THING YOU DID AS A TEENAGER?

I never really did ANYthing as a teenager, except play guitar. I was pretty boring — but determined. Once, though, at my dad's softball game when I was about 11, I saw another kid drop her quarter... and I took it. She told her mom and I
gave it back. I felt terrible.

8. YOUR FIRST GIG EVER AS A MUSICIAN?

The day before Christmas Eve in 1998. I was 15 and nervous. Played every song twice the bpm they needed to be and got through a 30 song set list in an hour and a half...

9. YOUR WORST LIVE PERFORMANCE EVER?

Oh, easily, the Modesto Chilli Fest. We had the "suck" knob turned to 11. Guitars out of tune, no monitors; it was a sweltering 108F. I can't believe you made me pull that from the depths of my brooding mind.

10. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO OTHER THAN MUSIC NOW DAYS?

Nothing. Oh, watch the "Gilmore Girls."

11. FAVORITE FOOD AND DRINK?

Homemade bean burritos or Honeybees cereal — orange juice.

12. FAVORITE MOVIE / TV SHOWS

Favorite movie is Amelie, — I don't watch tv, and have to rent episodes of "Gilmore Girls" and "24".

13. NAME A FEW OF YOUR MOST FAVORITE ALBUMS.

Help, the Beatles. Abby Road, the Beatles. Waiting for My Rocket to Come, Jason Mraz. Heavier Things, John Mayer. Way it Really Is, Lisa Loeb.

14. PEOPLE YOU WOULD MOST LIKE TO MEET?

Paul McCartney (though, I might be too nervous), John Mayer, and Stevie Wonder... Now that would make the ultimate tea party.

15. MAKE 3 WISHES.

Okay... done. If I tell, will they come true?

16. WHAT IS THE LAST THING YOU BOUGHT?

Two CDs: Candy Butchers and Loreena McKennitt.

17. WHAT REALLY MAKES YOU MAD?

Mean people... and people who cut in front of me while I'm driving.

18. YOUR FAVORITE PLACES TO PERFORM AT?

Slim's, GAHM, Red Devil Lounge in San Francisco. And nearly every place I've played out of CA - touring is fun!

19. WHAT IS IN YOUR CD PLAYER RIGHT NOW?

Jellyfish.

20. WHAT'S NEXT FOR YOU IN 2005 MEGAN:

Tours. Lots of them. Record a new CD. Write more and better songs - because it's all about the song. Getting organized. Baby steps - going for it -once step at a time.
